Choosing LRT would be a squandering of capital financial resources, and would be a critical error in judgment that will prove to be functionally defective and a future tax burden of enormous proportions on the residents and businesses of Ottawa.

 

The difference in Capital Cost between Streetcar Rapid Transit and Bus Rapid Transit is:

5,000 MILLION DOLLARS (5 Billion Dollars)

The operating costs of LRT is 2 to 3 times more expensive than Bus Rapid Transit and will be a backbreaking tax burden on the businesses and residents of Ottawa
